Warehouse Shift Supervisor
Package: Basic Salary up to £31,000 (Commensurate with experience)
plus, bonus & other excellent PLC company benefits
Hours: 45 per week Monday to Friday only

Warehouse Supervisor role
This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of our local logistics team. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the warehouse supervisor will lead by example in carrying out the full range of duties required within the warehouse and to a high standard, but also support with staff supervision and deputize for the manager in their absence. The role will also involve stock counting, inventory control and any associated investigation. Our warehouse teamwork 45 hours a week across Monday to Friday.
Warehouse Supervisor Key Duties
- Giving instruction to and supervising performance of warehouse colleagues to ensure tasks are completed effectively and within timescales required
- Maintain company standards in line with O-license & Health & Safety procedure
- Ensuring paperwork is processed onto the system accurately and timely
- Receive, inspect, and unload supplier deliveries
- Overseeing stock-taking, inventory-control & related investigation as required
- Deal directly with customers when required, ensuring high standards of customer service at all times
- Pick, load, and dispatch goods
- Operating the warehouse-management and scanning/barcoding systems
- Driving Bendi-truck as required
- Receive and process customer/supplier returns
Do you have the correct profile?
We welcome applications from self-motivated, experienced warehouse/logistics professionals who have already gained experience of direct staff/team supervision. You will ideally have experience of stock-taking and be familiar with using a warehouse management system. If you have a bendi-truck license, this would be a bonus, although this isn’t essential as training can be arranged. Any prior experience of using scanning/barcoding systems would also be an advantage (although again, training can be provided). You will also be expected to act as a first aider at work whilst supervising the day shift. It is imperative that you have a strong work-ethic with a flexible ‘can do’ attitude. Also crucial is a strong customer-focus with the ability to interact positively with our customers. First and foremost, you will be an able and dependable warehouse operative in your own right, not afraid to get your hands dirty, but also able to guide and motivate others to do a good job.
