Sales Manager, Insurance MEA

We are looking for an Insurance Sales Manager to increase sales of cargo insurance and product development in the Middle East Region. The position is focussed on sales support to operations and product development as well as some direct sales contact to DSV customers in the region. You will be accountable for delivery of sales budget within the scope of countries in Middle East. The role is based in Dubai reporting into the Senior Director, Insurance Sales in DSV.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for delivery of sales budget within the scope of countries in the Middle East.
- Establish and lead sales support within regional scope and ensure market driven approach to cargo insurance within regional countries.
- Collaborate with local sales to increase the selling of cargo insurance to DSV customers
- Ensure market driven approach to cargo insurance with regional countries (product development)
- Development of stakeholder network within country and sales management is an important part of the job.
- Develop cargo insurance products in regional markets
- Joint work with underwriters at DSVI on opportunities within regional scope
- Active sales towards DSV customers in collaboration with local sales managers
- Achieve Sales Budget for countries by increasing target number of insured shipments
- Deliver cargo insurance solutions as requested by market (DSV)
- Develop and execute sales action plans with countries in scope
- It is important to be flexible and willing to travel and work at different locations in DSV/ Customer branches.
- Daily tasks will be in our Sales organisation in DSV Insurance A/S, our Group Insurance captive, where you will be supported by our own team of underwriters and claims handlers
Qualifications & Characteristics:
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in relevant Field
- A minimum of +5 years work experience in sales with some freight forwardingexperience.
- Knowledge of cargo insurance terms.
- Managing the unexpected, acting on your own initiative, implementing solutions
- Driven by a desire to show and deliver results
- Bi lingual, arabic speaking preferred
- Business Acumen (understands principles and fundamentals of finance and profitability)
