The Project Administrator will carry out finance, administrative and communication responsibilities for the Vector Atlas project. The Vector Atlas aims to develop a mosquito vector data hub to facilitate spatial products and modelling outputs specifically tailored to inform the control of mosquito vectors of disease in sub-Saharan Africa. International collaboration is key to this project, and the Project Administrator will perform the University of Oxford administration in co-ordination with the wider team and partners. The position will be based at the Department of Zoology at the University of Oxford. Some travel to Kenya may be required.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Financial administration of project funds using the Oracle Finance system; including co-ordinating payment of sub-awards, arranging international travel, and day-to-day purchasing.
• Maintain financial records to meet budgetary requirements and for accurate reporting.
• Develop and update online communications for publicity of the Vector Atlas though the website and social media.
• Assist with administration for events and meetings, including production of required materials and minute-taking.
• Co-ordinate with other Vector Atlas staff to ensure the aims and deadlines of the project are met.

Essential Selection criteria:

• Strong numerical skills and financial administration experience
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Spreadsheet/budgets and data management experience
• Experience/understanding/interest in working with low to middle income countries in sub-Saharan Africa
• Interest in working closely as part of an international team – including travel to sub Saharan Africa
