Product Manager

Job Purpose
Create and manage the product portfolio of the brands across dnata Travel Group Middle East and India (MEI), in line with the overall Group strategy. The role holder is responsible for all stages of the product lifecycle from analysing data, creation, identification, validation, launch and evaluation. Work to negotiate and obtain competitive rates for campaigns and support with destination/product information for us to meet our customer needs and in line with the departmental growth strategy.

Job Outline:

– Plan
– Contribute to the development of the brands strategies to meet the needs of the business and achieve revenue growth in collaboration with management, ensuring objectives and product plans are aligned with corporate vision,
– Develop and maintain strong mutually beneficial, long-term strategic relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

– Deploy
– Review, collect and analyse data related to travel trends and sales to provide insights for development of marketing campaigns. Report, measure and make recommendations on all activity to improve the effectiveness of our future products and sales,
– Provide in-depth specialist knowledge and training of the destination and associated featured products to all areas of the business as commercially or operationally required. Work proactively with sales and fulfilment areas to optimise conversion rates and minimise barriers to trade,
– Create and maintain up to date information on travel restrictions to be cascaded to agents and produced online to ensure customers understand new and ongoing travel guidelines.

– Lead
– Ensure that featured destination and selected product remains commercially competitive. Understand business needs, provide regular competitor / market analysis including benchmarking of dnata product offerings and market position. Identify gaps in the market and profitable opportunities which are commercially viable, and which will enhance the product offering,
– Manage the team?s performance through coaching, training, development, career progression and motivate by role modelling leadership / team-work behaviours. Manage the performance management process for staff across the section by ensuring quality and timely feedback and completion of PM reviews.

– Execute
– Work with the internal stakeholders to plan and execute the preferred product strategy, understanding our core destinations and products to sell. Brief product via Salesforce for tactical campaigns. Working with the team on all aspects related to rates, allocations, release periods and service delivery, within defined business timeframes,
– Lead campaign management in-conjunction with Corporate Communications, relevant brands and sales teams, engaging all key stakeholders in initial campaign discussions to ensure knowledge sharing and aligned approach and support with activity, manage input to calendar. Conduct post campaign review session with internal and external stakeholders,
– Streamline processes across the business to improve productivity and turnaround times, working closely with support teams to ease any pain points for operational issues.
Qualifications & Experience
– Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in business or a related discipline
– 5+ years experience in the travel and tourism industry
– Commercial/Sales.Other
Knowledge / Skills:
– High quality achiever with a proven ability to exercise keen commercial judgement and decision-making,
– Excellent knowledge of geography and clear understanding of the tourism industry and tour operations,
– Strong written and oral skills in English (other languages an advantage).
