An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Sales Manager- Proactive Sales to join our Sales & Marketing team Inside Burj Al Arab.

The Purpose of the role:

The key output for you is to complete all assigned tasks, achieve your assigned sales targets, delivering market leading performance, ensure (SBU) is the first choice for your assigned /designated accounts, maximize revenue and commercial opportunities with customers and partners and deliver effective communication within the attraction as well as across Sales function (SBU Sales, Global Sales) and with your customers and partners.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Deliver assigned KPI.
  • Assist management/SBU in planning & delivering sales objectives for SBU.
  • Continuously sources new business through research of local media and market intelligence.
  • Continually evaluates markets and their needs, comparing them with existing products and services (keep abreast of market trends and economy)
  • Conducts in house site inspections and presentations to potential clients.
  • Carries out regular entertainment for existing and acquisition accounts.
  • Planning and delivering sales objectives for own SBU.
  • Maintain up to date data on all SBU related customer production and leads.
  • Support department admin needs as they pertain to B2B bookings.
  • Maintain high level of awareness & knowledge of the SBU specific revenue budget & targets for the whole year.
  • Track performance per segment and actively support all liaison meetings.
  • Has effective public speaking and presentation skills; presents ideas, expectations, and information in a concise, well-organized manner.
  • Keep updated and current records of all SBU business development initiatives, promotions, and the respective support sales activities of own SBU and other properties.
  • Collating and updating all relevant market & competitor data, activities, and information to respond to them appropriately
  • Maintain and grow the positive customer and partner relationships.
  • Take ownership of your own performance
About you:
  • The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications
  • College educated
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a travel or hospitality sales role
  • Experience with date analysis and interpretation is desirable
  • Can negotiate at a senior level
  • Can work in a team
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel is essential)
